Honorable chairman
And all beloved brothers.
بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ
الرَّحِيْمِ
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
First of all, let’s praise our God Allah,
the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, the Creator and Sustainer of the
universe. Peace bu upon prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the last messenger of Allah who has
guided human life from the destruction into the right way of Islam.
Thank you dear chairman for the
opportunity given to me to speak before the audience. Now, I want to talk to
you about:
Free Life Style
Beloved audience …
Today, we live in global era that is absolutely different from our
grand-grand father’s era. Nowadays, we often see in our daily life, a young man
and young woman who are not bound in marriage go anywhere together. Seems there
is no limit for them to do anything.
What do you think of this? Do we agree with the unmarried couple to
be together and perhaps behave like husband and wife? Of course, we don’t!
Our religion Islam doesn’t tolerate this kind of interaction. Allah
has sad in the Qur’an :
وَلَا
تَقۡرَبُواْ ٱلزِّنَىٰٓۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فَٰحِشَةٗ وَسَآءَ سَبِيلٗا ٣٢
And
go not nigh to fornication; surely it is an indecency and an evil way. (Al-Isra’ [17]: 32)
This
verse doesn’t only forbid us from committing adultery, but also any activity,
approach or behavior leading to it. So, we can understand that Islam forbids a
man and woman without marriage to be together because it may attract them
committing adultery.
Today,
many of our young generation are influenced by the western life style. For
them, there is not any limit of interaction between man and woman, boy and
girl. They are free to do anything they want. Our young generations imitate
this destructive life style because they see it from television, magazine,
internet, and so on.
So,
what must we do, brothers in Islam? Must we keep silent and let this bad
condition go on forever? I think we must do something. We must explain to them
that Islam forbids the free interaction. We must make them understand that the
free interaction is dangerous for their life.
Do
you think it is easy to do? Perhaps, it’s rather difficult. However, we should
try out best to change this condition.
Brother
in Islam…
Before
ending my speech, I would like to sum up some important points. First, sex
before marriage is sinful and prohibited in our religion. Second, the young
generation should get the correct teaching of Islam about interaction between
man and woman to save them from the destructive life-style. And third, for
anyone who is ready to marry is to get married and not postpone it.
Well,
I think I would stop my speech. Thank you for your attention. See you later
