And my beloved
brothers.
بِسْمِ اللّهِ
الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
السَّلاَمُ
عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Before going on
my speech, it’s better for us to thank God Allah for His mercy and blessing
that we can meet here to attend the English public speaking club tonight. Peace
and salutation may be sent to the last messenger for human life to get the love
of Allah in their life on the world and hereafter.
Thank you dear
MC, for your kindness by giving me chance to speak in front of the audience.
Tonight, I am going to discuss about a very important issue in our life, that
is:
Islam and the Peace
If we talk
about peace, means we talk about Islam. The word peace in Arabic is salam which
has the same root with Islam which means safe, greeting and peace
The peace that
we mean is not a relative peace coming from the Secretary General of the United
Nations. It is not the peace from the President of USA, France or Russia ,
neither it is the peace from the International Court of Justice. But, we mean
the peace from God Allah, because He is the original source of peace. Allah is
the real peacemaker. It’s the peace of Allah that makes us live in peace, love
and affection with all Muslims all over the world.
The history of
the prophet ﷺ and his companions has shown us how they lived in peace
among themselves and with the non-Muslim society. Well, we admit that there
were many wars happened between Muslims and the unbelievers. But the wars took
place because there was not any other way for Muslims to defend their life and
to prevent their ideology from the unbelievers except by war.
Brothers in
Islam…
Islam is the
religion which teaches us to live in peace and respect other people even though
they are non-Muslims, as long as they don’t do something harmful to our society.
Islam teaches
us neither to shed blood, nor to break other people right. And as I told you
before that killing or taking the unbelievers life is only permitted in war
because they fight against us.
Today, we
Muslim society, are accused as terrorist, as people who like to break the
peace, as people who do harm to other people and so on. What do you think of
this, brothers in Islam?
Actually the
greatest terrorist right now is the government of USA and their allies. They
easily accuse Muslim as terrorist but they breakdown Afghanistan, Iraq and many
other Muslim countries, killing hundred thousand of innocent people without
feeling guilty. What a paradox thing!
I think we
should not be afraid of being called terrorist or whatever the call is, as long
as we are not involved in the actions that harm innocent people. What we are
supposed to do is to keep firmly to our religious teaching so that we can live
in peace, harmony and love.
I think that’s
all what I can tell you in this good opportunity. Thanks for your attention.
